GERMANY | NAMIBIA
ECHO ECHO examines the enduring legacy of
German colonialism in Germany and Namibia,
exploring how colonial power structures continue
to shape cultural perceptions, public spaces, and societal values today. Through a blend of
contemporary photography and archival materials,
the work confronts persistent colonial patterns in visual representation, ethnocentric ideals, and
collective memory. The project has been ongoing since 2020 in collaboration with Catalina Hermanns.
